Love it! A low tech solution for a freestanding freezer where I want to control high/low temperatures.

This thermometer works great. I used my existing digital fridge/freezer thermometer to compare temperatures and it works accurately. There are a few things to watch out for. Do not apply excessive force to the levers when adjusting the upper/lower levers to the desired position, as doing so may move the main lever and damage the thermometer. Also, because Celsius is at the top of the curve and Fahrenheit is at the bottom of the curve, it's a bit difficult to see the Fahrenheit numbers when all three hands are in the same area. I'm wondering if some of the people who said the temperature was too high were actually looking at the Celsius scale and not Fahrenheit? The last thing to pay attention to. When resetting, put the dial slide back down so it doesn't block the movement of the levers on the temperature curve. I am very happy.

Pros
  • Note the maximum and minimum temperatures reached since the last reset.
Cons
  • Some errors.
