Works as an additional monitor/presentation display

I used this with a mini pc (and laptop) to drive an old monitor that was being used as a secondary display when I connected the laptop to the connected docking stations. This adapter worked out of the box on Windows 10 (although I couldn't get it to work on ChromeOS, but there may be a workaround) and allowed me to extend/mirror the monitor to a secondary display. However, this little adapter is actually a graphics card, so it's not the same as using the graphics output on my laptop. This screen is pretty slow for anything but basic tasks. So I only use it to view chat, notification and email apps. Even with chat apps, it's apparent that the speed at which characters appear is slightly delayed compared to the speed at which I type them. It's not a multi-second delay, but it does have a FEEL of delay. Watching videos about it was really mixed, with some browsers and apps working well and others not. It depends on what device the program is trying to render on; Since this device is a very weak 'graphics card', it will basically try to offload most of the work to the CPU, or just fall behind when trying to process on that 'graphics card'/adapter . Other applications can use the main GPU and just direct the output to this adapter, which works much better. In general, this device works well when used properly. It's definitely not "for gaming" as Amazon suggested in the "Rating Features" section. It is usually static text or data. The version I tested is the DVI model, not the HDMI model, just for reference.
