If you have old monitors or computers with old graphics cards, this is a must have connector.

My 2009 liquid-cooled gaming PC with a powerful processor and high-end (for the time) graphics card. It connects via DVI and comes with VGA adapters. I used to run it on two monitors, one of which was a medium resolution (720p) TV. I also have some old CRT monitors and for connecting to a newer laptop this is useful. Old monitor comes in handy again

We had an old flat screen that only had a VGA connector that we couldn't use on any of our computers anymore. We tried gifting it but to no avail. Then I saw this article and realized I could use this monitor. This adapter is pretty easy to use. Simply download and install the driver, connect the adapter to your computer, and connect your monitor to the adapter with the appropriate cable. Works as an additional monitor/presentation display

I used this with a mini pc (and laptop) to drive an old monitor that was being used as a secondary display when I connected the laptop to the connected docking stations. This adapter worked out of the box on Windows 10 (although I couldn't get it to work on ChromeOS, but there may be a workaround) and allowed me to extend/mirror the monitor to a secondary display.
