I always carry these in my 4Runner for use as part of my recovery tools. These quick links are strong and the threads run smoothly. I use them to connect nylon cords with loops sewn onto the ends. All of my recovery tools are stowed under the factory installed 4Runner Cargo Rack. I don't want an obvious SUV. My 4Runner is a SHTFmobile gray man with hidden zombie apocalypse abilities, and these quick links add versatility to my recovery options. They're especially handy for attaching my 3,500-pound hand winch to the nylon straps that attach it to the vehicle, rather than the heavy, expensive, theft-prone, and difficult-to-maintain electric winch that mounts to the front of the vehicle.
