I've tried a bunch of keys over the years, cheap nameless Chinese ones and the best ones with proprietary chips on board. Not sure what's in it, haven't checked closely, but so far it's reasonably reliable and has the best range of any Bluetooth adapter I've tried (on par with the Bluetooth controller in my high-end mobile -workstation) which I mean judging by the fact that it stays firmly connected to my Aftershokz Opencomms until I'm about 3 floors below the apartment I live in.
