It was quite unexpected
I have used many hand lotions but this is the best I have found. I use it right before bed so it really works. I wash my hands constantly throughout the day, as do my kitchen utensils. My hands stay soft and moist despite being splattered with soapy water many times a day. I only use a very small amount of lotion because it's a small tube and expensive, but I think it's worth the price.
