Review on 🚴 CXWXC Road/MTB Bike Pedals - Aluminum Alloy Bicycle Pedals - Anti-Skid Mountain Bike Pedal with Removable Nails by Jason Robinson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great replacement pedal

I bought these after the pedals on my Trek road bike started falling apart after a few scratches on the curbs and road on tight corners. I was looking for pedals that were more durable than the ones I had before and they seemed to fit the bill as all construction was aluminum and they didn't have many points to break in the future. ready to use and have a good weight, which I was happy with. At first glance they seemed a bit wide, but I honestly like the slightly larger surface area. The installation process did not go as smoothly as we would have liked. There was no indication of what size Allen wrench was needed to install them and after rummaging through my toolbox I didn't have wrenches large enough to fit. After searching the Revain site it turned out that a 5/16 hex wrench was required. I was able to hand tighten the pedals most of the time with pliers, but a hex wrench is required to fully tighten. I definitely wish they would just include a cheap allen wrench with these pedals, even if they'd added a few bucks to the price. Despite this installation issue I am very happy with the pedals now that I have been using them for a week. The cleats on the pedals grip my shoes very well and make pedaling easier. They also look very sleek and I think they improve the overall aesthetics of my bike. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their standard pedals - make sure you have a 5/16 allen key before buying.
