to buy a real military compass. Over the last 12 years in the military I've used my fair share of different compass brands and types due to my ASI so I know what to look out for. There's no chance the bezel will stay in one place, if you're shooting your azimuth and hanging it around your neck it will instantly throw the bezel off your course. There is no fixing pin. I would have sent it back if my wife hadn't disposed of the packaging. Although the mesh protractor was good. However, nowadays it is difficult to spoil the transparent plastic. There was some lint or something between the bezel glass and the compass lens glass. I would not recommend this to any friend. Or any boy scout or soldier. Might be ok for a weekend warrior.
