Review on 🌍 Streamline Your Travels with the NAVITEL E505 Magnetic Navigator by Bhavin Kokani ᠌

Good value for money, I recommend.

In general, if you get used to it, then the navigator is not bad. But it cannot be called exemplary either. The geolocation accuracy, the screen, the truncated interface leave an unpleasant feeling of use, as from a device that you should not fully rely on as an assistant behind the wheel. If you are driving on the road for the first time and do not know the route, a sudden loss of satellite communication can create problems. From the navigator, first of all, you expect reliability and accuracy. Alas, it seems like a good device, but failures and errors are too frequent of its companions.

Pros
  • Holds a battery charge for a long time. The navigation program and the device are made in a minimalist format, nothing more. (both positive and negative). There is a display of speed limits (not always correct), signs, cameras, shows the desired lane (not at all intersections). Warns of speeding. SpeedCam is a great part of the navigator. The magnetic mount is amazingly convenient. Basically, it works out of the box. There is an FM transmitter. Huge database of cards included. Lifetime free ate. Convenient ater. Optimal size. Automatic transition day/night/tunnel. Automatic time setting. Stylus, charger, mount, power cable included. The body is made of high quality plastic. In addition to the car / motorcycle mode, there is a pedestrian mode (it is not clear why, with such a display, receiving a signal from satellites and searching for objects only by address or POI), bicycle mode (there is no bike mount in nature) and for trucks. The display is matte, the image is well read even in bright light.
Cons
  • Very low screen resolution, nowhere lower. The screen, in general, is a big drawback of the navigator. The sensor starts to work more or less adequately only after calibration, but in general, get ready that from a touch for scrolling, even with a finger, even with a stylus, you will select all menu items in a row. Last century, comrades. Weak satellite reception. As I did not change the location all over the glass, the satellites are looking very badly. After passing through the tunnel, it can restore the connection for 1-2 minutes. May indicate that you are driving on a nearby road or racing through a field near the road. In the program for smartphones, this cant has long been fixed, on navigators, alas . The number of satellites on the map screen is not displayed, you have to look through the menu, otherwise I would like not to climb there . There is no search for objects by the name of organizations. Given the operation of the sensor, this would be extremely convenient. To install all the cards you need to buy an additional SD card. To record tracks, for some reason, too . The city CATASTROPHICALLY lacks the display of traffic jams (yes, they are implemented in older models, but for competitors, the display of traffic jams has long become the norm on conventional navigators (Garmin, Sturmann, Lexand). HandsFree is already in many navigators as a standard option, Navitel, think about it. The battery charge is displayed as an icon, although a percentage display would be much more informative. One can only dream of auto-regulating the screen brightness level due to the light sensor. Also on the road, although the day / night transition is implemented well, you can change the brightness level only through the menu. Driving is uncomfortable. No video playback from SD card. Could brighten up the moments of waiting and downtime in traffic jams.
