I got mine without the bumpers which are attached to each end of the plastic hardware you see in the middle. I emailed AMP Research Support and less than 10 hours later received a response that my request had already been processed and less than 24 hours later I received an email with a FedEx tracking number for one two day shipping to west coast. to the east coast. Incredibly great customer service. Installation was easy. I used the method suggested by others in these reviews instead of using the company's paper templates that come with the installation instructions. I put the whole assembly together: I put the brackets on the extension and attached them to mark the locations for drilling holes. Everything looks great. I'm very happy to have this extension when I need to take my bikes everywhere with my Tacoma.
