I am very dissatisfied with balaclavas. I wear a modular Bombardi helmet with a mouthguard. So when I use the balaclava, I pull it on just enough to keep my mouth open and block the face mask on the helmet. Because of this, this lightweight mask pulls the top down and blocks or interferes with my vision, unlike heavier ones that stay in place and don't cover my eyes. This makes it very uncomfortable and also dangerous to wear. I tried them with a more conventional helmet without a face mask and they were serviceable because I no longer had to put them on to keep my mouth open.
