Don't expect this to be able to handle all types and sizes of strands.
While this yarn winder works great, it is not designed to wind strands longer than a few feet. It won't handle large strands at all, it just isn't big enough. The only disappointment was the fact that the description doesn't state any restrictions as to the size of the coil. I ended up buying a very expensive and large yarn winder to compensate. I'll probably give this to a newbie.
