This jack is not rated for 2 (as the name suggests) or 2.5 tons (as the packaging would suggest). The maximum weight you can use it for is 1.5 tons and I would be very careful. Its size, shape, etc. indicate that it is made in the same factory as the Harbor Freight 1.5 ton jack. That's right, my 2.5 ton jack (which broke under a 2.5 ton car) is twice the size and durable. Don't put it under an SUV! A small compact car is the maximum it can handle!
