So there is a wide range of rear view cameras to choose from. This one in particular has a very neat phone usage feature that most of us carry with us at all times these days. Sometimes it might not be possible to find space for the screen to display the camera, so this is a great solution as it uses your phone as a screen to display the camera. The camera is easy to connect as it mounts over the license plate with a very strong all-metal frame. No more bent license plates from the car wash, so another plus! I connected mine to the power supply that goes to the backlight as instructed. You can plug into different power sources, but I wanted mine to only turn on in reverse. You can adjust the angle of the camera and then tighten it with the Allen key provided. The instructions tell you where to download the app. There are certain phones it doesn't work with. Therefore, first check your phone against the product description to make sure you can use this camera. Once downloaded, open the Wi-Fi settings to find the wireless signal. Make sure the device is powered as it needs camera power to provide the correct signal. Connect and with the app open you should see an image. You have to open it on your phone as I still haven't figured out how to show it automatically without typing, but I'm still improving my technological knowledge. It works well with a phone holder to install it where you can see it well. This device didn't come with one, but DoHonest gives you a free gift option with a phone holder they send to you which is a nice touch, and if you already have one there are other gift options. The overall camera setup is 5 stars and would recommend. Camera functionality is good and it may take a few seconds to connect and open the app, it's a good camera. Especially where you don't need full screen mode in your car. I highly recommend this product from DoHonest and they will answer your questions well.
