I've used them for 2 to 3 weeks, off and on. Maybe like 6 to 8 hours worth of digging, weeding, and planting baby plants. So far they've held up well. I haven't tried digging with the wide one much yet, because all of the narrower spades in my experience (not this one) are a little stouter when "prying up" earth. So the narrower one has seen the most use. I've used the "cultivator/scratchy" tool, this one seems very scratchy, the points on this one could be potentially dangerous, so I make sure to dig the tines down into the ground when I'm not using it. I don't want to be scooting around and accidentally sit on those. *Be careful if you've got kids around, or if you don't wear shoes. I was skeptical at first when I saw the hole on back where the handle met the blade, and thought it could be a weak place, but I don't think it's gonna be an issue. The hole in the top of the handle will be good to dry out the handle, or run a string to loop it on your wrist, belt or wall. All in all, these are the best one's I've ever owned, and I can find and spot them among plants because they're shiny. Hope this helps.
