I installed my Pioneer MiniSplit system (24K) over the weekend and vacuumed with this tool. I was able to get down to 450 microns in an hour. When I closed the valve and shut off the pump, it rose to 1250 (one thousand). In a few minutes I'll have 1240, then 1230. So I have a leak. I filled the system with argon (I had that, so why not) and using my leak detector I found a leak where this tool connected to the service port. I tried to tighten it and pulled out another vacuum. Same result. I was late on Sunday and had to work in the morning so I put the Argon back on and closed overnight. I'll try again later today. I'm an electrical engineer and I'm installing this because I've never done it (love it!). The information I learned during this process gave me a new appreciation for HVAC professionals.
