This 6 port Cat 6 wall panel is attractive and powerful. It features female-to-female connectors so you can use patch cords on either side. No punching required. However, it's quite expensive for what it is. The installation is cumbersome. The included low voltage mounting bracket (aka old work) is fairly standard and easy to install by cutting out the drywall. The problem is that the wall panel mounting holes are reinforced with additional plastic battens. This means that this panel cannot be mounted flush with the wall - it will leave a gap of about 1/16 inch. (see photos). I cured this by gently sanding the reinforcement with a Dremel tool. Although my wall plate appeared properly packaged and new, it had minor scratches and scuffs. Aggravating.
