THEY didn't work at all. Both. No data no power

I bought 2 packages. Both didn't work! NO POWER/DATA AT ALL Tried simple connections: flash drive to this adapter to USB-a/USB-c cable to USB-c port on laptop. Tried the same but just a plain USB mouse. Tried the same devices for this iPad Lightning cable adapter. Tried the same devices for Android tablet and Note 8. Tried a simple USB fan. does not start. Tried with different cables. Tried many devices. All results were without data and without power. The mouse did not light up. Returned Scott
