Review on Drill Reaming Auger High Carbon Woodworking by Ron Josey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The beats were exactly what I had hoped for.

I had to drill some holes in a woodworking project and needed a precise 20mm diameter hole. I looked for several types of lures and most of these sizes cost $10-20. Then I came across this whole set in the same price range. These drill bits can also be used to drill draw-threaded holes. The threads on my beats looked very good. and each spiral arm has a ridge to allow for a smooth cut the first time it penetrates the wood. I was able to use a 20mm bit in a hole drilled 3/4" and it did a great job of reaming it to the correct diameter. I found the hole sizes to be accurate and I got a very clean hole due to the many spirals on this bit. They also helped keep the bit steady when passing. They fit any power drill - there's even a quick-release hex at the end, but the classic drill chuck works as always. All in all I felt this was exactly what I needed and I ended up with a whole set instead of just one piece. I'm sure they're probably made in China (considering the super low prices), which doesn't make me happy, but they seem to be well made. Overall 5 star rating - recommended for any carpenter looking to drill new holes or widen existing ones.
