Don't rely on it when you shake the jar.
I got in trouble when I cleaned the glass. In short, if you shake your jar while you're soaking it, you'll either need to tape it in place or hold the end caps in place while doing so. They have strong suction to keep things from spilling, but as soon as you start shaking them they come out and you have one hell of a mess to clean up.
