DAC literally rocks the house. Pretty easy to install, just plug in. You can either download a prepackaged installation with drivers or add them to the default Raspbian Pixel PI distribution. If you can follow simple instructions and edit text files, everything is fine. I'm amazed at the sound quality and how the PI sounds like high quality audio hardware. If you encounter any problems, HIFIBerry has a good support forum where you can get answers quickly. I have a friend with a quality Onkyo system and this DAC sounds just as good and has similar accuracy. The only thing you don't get is a DSP to change the atmosphere in the room. I also bought these Edifier bookshelf speakers to use https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LXDZ8WB/ref= oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Go build! Build quality audio equipment for under $200. Eat clear!
