My graphics card occupies 2 expansion slots, but a connection to a locked PCI-E Express slot is available. This extension strap is long enough to add an internal component. If a new component needs to be installed so that it can be accessed from outside the computer, it blocks another PCI-E slot, so it's only good for internal use unless there are multiple card slots open that aren't being used will.
