Just before my long vacation my dog became paralyzed and lost control of his bowels and bladder. I'm very sensitive to pet stains, so I'm very good at cleaning them up. I don't want to live in a smelly house with animal stains. I also have MCS and have a bad reaction to chemicals and fragrances. This product had better ingredients than my original carpet cleaner, which only had a slight scent of orange essential oil. I'm usually fine with essential oils, so I figured I could handle TriNova. Big no! I tried another natural product I had and it didn't help much. So I looked for natural ways to clean carpets and more importantly remove odors. TriNova worked, but I'm not sure if it actually removes the stain, or just covers up the smell, or a bit of both. This spray has a SUPER strong scent. I also reacted to this with essential oils. So after leaving it for a while, day and night, windows open etc, I had to use my upright carpet cleaning machine and went back to my original cleaner to try and remove this product and its odor on top of the urine smell - a bad combination. I had to clean and rinse the apartment with vinegar every day for a week before the smell went away even a little. It's been two months and the smell is completely gone. I'm still not sure if I won't have to replace this carpet when I leave. So be careful if you are sensitive to the smell. I wouldn't buy it again as I feel it just covers up the stain rather than removing it.
