This monitor arrived this afternoon and I immediately assembled it and hooked it up to my computer as a second monitor. I used it as a replacement for a 24" 1080p TV that I used as a monitor for a number of years. So far, so good. The box contained a monitor, a two-piece stand, a power cord, an HDMI cable, and an instruction manual. A Phillips screwdriver was required to assemble the stand, but the stand attaches to the monitor without tools. The stand provides good support, but I wanted to mount it on a dual arm desktop mount so it was the same height as my other monitor. I removed the stand and mounted the monitor on a VESA desk mount plate. It was quick and easy. The cables just plugged in and within minutes it was up and running with my computer. On the other hand, there was no screen protector on the screen, so I left a lot of fingerprints that had to be wiped off after assembly. Also, the power cord is too short and I needed an extension cord to reach the power box on the floor at the opposite end of my desk. It took a while to get the contrast, hue, saturation, etc to match my other monitor, but after about 10 minutes I was able to get a decent match. I had to read the manual to understand how to set up the controls. Everything is controlled via the power button (small joystick) on the back of the monitor. Press the button once to turn it on and again to bring up the on-screen menu. Move the joystick up, down, left and right to navigate through the menu and press the button again to make a selection. It's not intuitive, but it works. A switch on the back of the monitor can improve looks, but isn't practical. I do a lot of photo and video editing and managed to adjust the settings well enough to do my job well. A 1080p display is sufficient for now, but I'll need to upgrade to 4k or 8k in the future. But that's more than enough for streaming videos, surfing the net or working in MS Office. I've noticed that the colors are most vibrant when I'm standing directly in front of the screen. They blur a bit when I look at the screen from even a slight angle. All in all, this should be a nice addition to my system. It's a bit more than what I've used so far and is enough to meet my current needs. The price is in the middle of comparable monitors sold by Revain.
