
So far this antenna is working great. I still get great FM reception, even my HD radios pick up with no problem. I like to use brass to minimize corrosion. Some things you can do to make installation and removal easier in the future: There are 3 glands in total: 2 on the antenna itself and one on the vehicle gland. To hold the antenna together and not risk unscrewing the threads on the antenna itself, I recommend using blue Loctite, but only on the threaded connections on the antenna itself. DO NOT use on the large brass thread that connects to the car Loctite, but a lubricant instead. This combination ensures that if you inevitably have to replace it in the future, the antenna will fail. This will also prevent the smaller threads in the antenna assembly from loosening over time. Basically I am satisfied with the product. Let's see how the material holds up.
