Economical, fantastic picture quality, easy to use

This is my first experience with real projectors so I really didn't know what to expect. I chose this screen material because of its low price ($50 at the time of purchase) as well as (mostly) rave reviews. I have to say I'm very glad I made the choice to do this! Let me start with size. The description says it's 124 x 72 inches for a 16:9 diagonal with a 135-inch resolution. The stuff I received actually measured 124" x 74" instead of 72". The diagonal (after stretching and assembly) was 141" instead of 135". Well, I'm not the type to complain about that I get more than I paid for but thought it might be worth a look Originally I wanted to use this to create a rolling screen, for that purpose it would be much easier if it rolled up in a horizontal plane (124") rather than one vertical plane (72-74"). Of course, it's much easier to ship this way, so I understand that decision. In the end, it really didn't matter, because although the material is relatively thick (0.3mm), even weighed down at the bottom, I don't think it would be strong enough for this type of application.Build a frame out of 1" x 3" and 1" x 4" lumber with two evenly spaced vertical braces in the center and attach the material to it.After a few hours (a Measuring a dozen times, making a few wrong cuts, rinsing and repeating) I had an amazing 141 inch movie screen and was enjoying my new setup! Using the Vivitek DH559 as a projector, colors are crisp, bright and easy to see even in medium light. There were a lot of wrinkles in the material at first after I unrolled it, but after it was stretched and installed they all disappeared completely. And while it (CineWhite) isn't particularly "3D capable", the 3D movies I watched were fine. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cost effective alternative to overpriced projector screens.
