When hydrogen peroxide is heard, it breaks down into oxygen and water. - O2 + 2H2O. Hence the bottle is bulging. When the hat is removed, oxygen is exhaled leaving only water. The bottle was so swollen and round at the bottom that it could not stand on its own. The package was delivered to our shaded veranda in moderate temperatures.
