I wanted these for hard to reach motorcycle tire valves. Adapters work well enough but will not fit smaller tires. On the front tire, simply installing or removing an adapter results in a loss of 1-2 psi, which is unacceptable. According to the instructions, you shouldn't leave it on while driving. The deflation loss in a car tire would probably be much less and not a big deal, but smaller tires have unacceptable deflation and one cannot be sure of the pressure once they are removed.
