I was working on a baby blanket that ended up with a snapped cord because I think I did too much with the short cord. I order these along with another cord and was able to make a much larger cord using two smaller cords. I found it more difficult to tighten after it loosened a bit halfway through my work because if you tighten one side it loosens the other side. I just pushed all the work aside and fixed it. But that might be my problem as I'm having trouble tightening these fittings. Mine always seem to loosen up after a while no matter how tight I tighten them.
