K7 was a great solution for my Dodge 3500. I keep my grinder in the back of my truck during the winter and this unit allows me to conveniently mount the camera elsewhere compared to no winter months. I used industrial velcro on the two spots I installed and just in case wrapped the base of the camera in Gorilla Tape to ensure it wouldn't go anywhere (except for a thief I guess). replacement block. Consequently, I didn't even have to connect the brake line since I had previously connected the power supply to the back of the truck. To be honest I have a wired BOSCAM unit in the TJ (where I used the brake line) but I prefer to set it to a switch to ensure it always shows up, not just when reversing. Good video quality, maybe not wired quality. but close enough. I have never had any transmission or connection problems. The screen boots up immediately after switching on and remains connected. I should point out that I'm working with projection lights, which give off a lot of light, so if they have trouble with the dark, the camera's nighttime viewing capabilities aren't an issue for me. All in all a great purchase. I've gone the cheap wired camera route a few times in the past and have been constantly swapping out the camera (it seemed like it worked every two years). How long this will last is not yet known, but first impressions are positive. The 18-month warranty (assuming you register your device) is fair.
