Review on ๐Ÿš— Enhanced Performance Monroe MA708 Max-Air Adjustable Shock Absorber by Andrew Spainhour

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Do not overtighten the lower mounting pin!

Pneumatically adjustable shocks do what they say on the box. One caveat: the bottom pin must be able to rotate in the mount. Using the new bushings that come with the kit, tighten the nut only until 2-3 threads are visible behind the nut. The included nut is not self-locking, so use some elbow grease to prevent it from loosening. The photos show a properly tightened pin (still strong after 20,000 miles), an over tightened pin that only lasted 8,000 miles, and a broken pin. before pressurizing the unit) and put in a pair of self-locking nuts instead of cheap plain nuts.
