This thermos has the worst insulation I've ever seen. When I pour hot (not boiling, just hot) water into this thermos, the walls heat up instantly. At first I thought it was because I spilled something on the sides. So I did a controlled test. Of course, 5 minutes after I carefully poured the water, the walls got incredibly hot. This explains why it does not retain heat. Better pour hot/cold liquid into a soda bottle and wrap it in a blanket. Seriously, it's that bad. I scanned the interior for an obvious leak in the inner bulkhead. I don't see any obvious signs of problems. There might be something wrong that I can't see. If you want to buy a product with 10% 1 star rating, by all means do it.
