Match perfectly and eat walnut and pecan as if they were pine. To be honest, my only complaint had nothing to do with the blade. Installation and alignment sucked. This was my first time changing planer knives and I think I found an easier way after trying a few times to get it right. For the more experienced carpenter, installation should not be a problem and provide a quick and accurate alternative to more expensive blades. You get what you pay for and I've only used them twice for small projects. But so far they cut like new. Definitely recommend for light planing but can't comment on how long they last.
