Seriously, I'm very happy I dared to touch the red team. People complain that this is more difficult due to memory issues and that you should be more strict with your RAM choices, but I can vote with confidence that this is just general talk coming from the general population, which is largely technically illiterate and not I don't know how to compare numbers. I can say I had no memory issues, I had no software or installation issues after the initial install, and THIS BITCH WORKS WITH WINDOWS 7 ALONG WITH ANY OTHER OS WITH EASE! To be honest I can't figure out where all the complaints are coming from as I've installed six different Linux distros and everything from Windows 7 to the recent Garbaggio 10 update and haven't had any issues. Even when I was experimenting with my Intel build (i7-7700), it took me at least an hour or two to install Windows 7. Preparing to install Win7 on Ryzen 2 took about six minutes. Most important: performance. If you haven't seen the YouTube video, I'll abbreviate it. The performance of the 2700X is about 80-90% that of the i9-9900k, both factory and overclocked. No joke. I've rendered video, edited 4K photos, multitasked until two monitors were filled with at least 10 active programs, and I can tell you those numbers are pretty accurate. Oh, and you're paying about half the price if you buy this instead of the i9, so here's the thing. For anyone who wants to buy it, I'll give you the most important advice. Ready? READ D. If you're not sure about something, go back and double-check. Triple or quadruple check if necessary, but be careful what you buy. One of the safest bets on storage is LPX storage, especially from Corsair. If you're buying a Corsair Vengeance LPX RAM kit I honestly don't see what you can go wrong in terms of compatibility. Verdict: It's TAAAAAAAAA much better than Intel's. I have a powerful cooler, mine overclocked with no cooling issues, and most motherboard manufacturers offer tools for those who prefer Windows 7, while Intel will shove Windows 10 down your throat like a bad weekend in Amsterdam. Oh, and I spent $200 to buy a discounted GTX 1060TI, so that's good.
