This ice tea maker makes less tea (2 litres) than my old one (3 litres) but I think it makes better tea. To make tea now, I use the same amount of infusion as I used on my old brewing machine so the tea is stronger. Then I add half the amount of ice cream to the pitcher that came with my old teapot. After the tea is brewed in my new coffee maker, I pour the tea over the extra ice in my old pot, then I have 3 liters of tea to store in the fridge as before. I'm glad I kept my old jug because this new one is too big for my fridge. The old mug is shorter but larger all around. I am concerned that the jug is more likely to break on this new kettle as it is made of hard plastic. Overall, this is a good buy for someone like me who drinks iced tea instead of coffee on a daily basis. .
