Review on πŸͺœ Bamboo One Step Stool: 13" Wooden Foot Stool with Storage Shelf - Mudroom Foyer Entryway Shoe Bench by Steve Tripp

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Easy to assemble - you can sit on it, but NOT stand on it.

I bought this bamboo stool for the sauna. Assembly was very easy with a little common sense even without instructions. The mounting bolts go through the top holes and are tightened with nuts on the back. Pointed screws go into the bottom holes and attach the shelf. Insert all screws into their appropriate holes, but do not fully tighten. At this point, the assembled stool will still wobble a little. Place the stool upright on a flat and level surface, making sure all legs are flat on the floor and the top is perpendicular to the legs. Tighten all screws evenly. The stool seems pretty sturdy but I wouldn't stand on it or let a child climb on it. It is taller than it is wide and presents a very unstable tipping hazard. It is best to use it while seated. Bamboo is very strong, but I think the 250lb weight limit is very ambitious. The legs are only 10mm thick (β…œ inch for non-metric people). I'm concerned about mechanical damage to the screw locations when such a large weight is off-centre, e.g. B. when a 250 pound person tries to get up from a sitting position. Another note: I ordered a large stool, but the packaging says "small stool". undersized: 12.25"L x 9.25"W x 13.125"D
