The rubber boot on my factory CV joint broke so I replaced it with this CV joint. The hardest part for me was just removing the driveshaft. The U-joint bolts have been provided with many screw locks at the factory. Once I removed the drive shaft, the factory constant velocity joint slipped right after removing the snap ring and constant velocity boot clamp. I've ridden about 80 miles on this new joint and so far so good. Update: This pivot has been installed for over 1 year now and I have been driving my Jeep off-road in Colorado around Ouray and Silverton. The connection worked perfectly. After about 10,000 miles last year, the hinge still works great.
