I love this grinder. I wanted bigger and more powerful than the cheap models you can buy in office stores. I've played through three of these in 10 years and thought it was worth investing in the business version. I also just wanted a strip cut shredder and there aren't many options these days. No scammer will waste time putting the strips together; The effort and time it would take outweigh the benefit if they could find someone else to rob. And the slow, loud, unpredictable transparent blocks are for the fearfully paranoid. I HATE the confetti mess that cross cut shredders make. Have fun vacuuming the dirt off the carpet. It's so easy to pull out and throw away (I use it to start a fire). The size is just right for home/study. It looks good in my living room and holds quite a lot of stuff without being too big like some of these commercial units. I also like that I can throw thick, unopened mail right there.
