Review on Flexzilla RP900375 Reusable Fitting with Inch Measurement by Ricky Khan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works great with air tool parts and accessories

I bought a pair of 1/4" fittings to split a 50ft hose into 15ft and 35ft. The helical part is plastic .and offers much better strain relief than the hard rubber they use for the original Flexzilla hose. Both fittings (stud and cap) are heavy duty black anodized aluminum Nothing warped or chipped but some of the black is scratched , so I'm guessing after years of use there won't be much black left and it will just be silver aluminum Make sure you get a nice 90 degree cut then you can attach the strain relief and then the screw cap .Once they are on the hose you can go ahead and push the barb into the hose. This takes a decent amount of force but it's easy, to do walkie-talkie without lubrication. Just make sure the tubing is fully inserted on all sides. Once the tubing is fully inserted into the notch, you can pull the cap back and unscrew. You will need two wrenches to tighten. Keep going until he stops going. Now you can move the strain relief up. It's designed to snap into place, but requires a lot more effort than you can put together by hand. I had to stick the tip into the ground and lean on it with my whole body before it snapped into place. I don't think it will ever come loose, so it might be an issue if you plan on using it multiple times. The threads on the tip are tapered to ensure a good seal when the final fitting is installed. I had about 1/8" of threads remaining after tightening everything up. Of course you could get away with just popping in a regular push-in fitting and using a hose clamp, but this threaded cap approach gives a much better result. has as opposed to a collar also no open sharp parts.
