I've had this for years and used it on my Husqvarna gas trimmer. It worked well, but was nothing special. I just bought a Makita electric trimmer and it has a ton of torque. I could tell it was more powerful, but with the string it came with it was still just a weed whacker. Once that string was used up, put this on (since one roll of this stuff will last a lifetime), and the thing is now scary. It slices through saplings, thorn bushes, blackberries all like butter, and that's only on medium speed. I'm afraid to use it on high speed. This string is so strong, you can actually cut trees down with it. I'm not talking saplings, either. Like actual trees a couple inches in diameter. I was planning to get a brush cutter head for my trimmer but now there's no need to.
