Not as bad as most one star reviews say. Firstly, if you don't understand Retroarch (basic backend emulation driver) you can't get in and do the necessary settings that need to be done for many higher consoles - e.g. N64 must have changed the emulator/kernel to boot about 1/4 games , and then you need to adjust the controller parameters accordingly. You should also back up the SD card immediately in case setup gets out of control or the cheaper SD card that came with the console isn't enough. The controllers are cheap but fully functional and certainly do the job, but you can use your USB/Bluetooth controller of choice. The bottom line is it has to be plug and play, and technically it's not that simple. The company has plenty of tutorials on YouTube (more than any other company that's ventured into a console like this), and with basic skills, you can follow them and tweak them as you please.
