The spool is WAY too stiff and doesn't spin easily, making it very difficult to change line length.
Not a fan of this shuttle. Although I prefer the hook to the more common tip, the spool is too difficult to turn. I loosen more thread for working rings and then rewrap the excess when working with chains. The bobbin is too stiff and does not rotate easily, making it very difficult to change the length of the working line. The edges of the coils themselves are made of sharp-edged plastic, making them uncomfortable for your fingers to spin. I imagined these reels spinning a bit more freely than they did. I'll be back to click the shuttles.
