I have an old oven (1958) and I used to buy a thermometer which I keep in the oven to properly measure the temperature in the oven as the sensor is on the front of the oven is unreliable. But that only solved the problem of the internal temperature of the oven. Adding cake to the mix (no pun intended) made things even more complicated; With a very large ring cake, how could I tell when it was made indoors? The Nordic Ware Bundt Cake Thermometer was the complete answer for my cakes. The first time I used it it was perfection. I checked the cake twice before getting a "red" result and then took the cake out of the oven. Perfect cake! I look forward to many more beautiful Bundt cakes. I washed the thermometer with some soap and warm water and put it in the box it came in.
