What is the most important thing in a coffee maker? Taste and temperature of the coffee. This Braun model does both very well. However, the three problems I had with this machine from day one were: difficulty in detecting how much water is entering, no beep when all the water has drained. Filter and drip onto the hotplate when you remove the jug. When it comes to filling, you can fill the carafe to a certain cup mark and then fill the coffee maker, but I pour from Brita and don't want to do that extra step every day. The number marks in the water tank (4-6-8-10) are the same color as the bars they are on. So unless you shine a flashlight on it, it's hard to tell which marker you're on. A simple solution to the problem would be black numbers on the white tabs of the markers. Despite all the anti-drip technology this Braun coffee maker offers, it still drips when I remove the pot. This may be because the filter is not completely empty, but there is no beep to signal the end of coffee making. So you should hope that you have given it enough time to drain the water from the filter when it is empty. has reached the level of your cup in the carafe. I've given it enough time to finish, turned off the machine and shook the carafe, but I still have drips on the hot plate and end up wasting paper towels every morning. In Brown's defense, I've yet to find a car that doesn't actually leak, so if anyone has any suggestions let me know. 4-4.5 stars for coffee.
