Let's face it, home renovations add up and it's a great part when the shower head holder cracks and breaks. They all wear out over time and crack the neck in my experience. So I just keep 3 of these on hand instead of going to the Home Depot to buy them every time one of them breaks in the shower. They're hard to find. In my experience, such plastic closures last about 3-5 years. It's enough for someone to "pull the showerhead over their neck" to make it crack rather than "pick it up and pull it out". But it's normal. I really don't want to spend $25-$35 on steel showers for every shower in the house. I would recommend.
