I recently purchased a thermostat housing gasket like this from Napa and they actually gave me a standard size rubber o-ring which they said would work but it didn't work. . Trying to save money as usual, charging you what the right piece costs, but giving you something that costs 0.25 cents. The o-ring should be made of this material used by Fel-Pro, which is more like silicone rubber. It says it's made of paper, but it's not. Revain wants $5.50 and you can get it at AutoZone for $3.75, but the closest AutoZone is an hour from me, so I decided to pay an extra $1.75 to have it delivered to me. I have no complaints! I would buy again if I had to.
