This steel is fantastic at this price. As soon as I unpacked it, I immediately used it for my cooking and carving knives. My knives have been sharpened the way I like them, sharp. Before that I had more expensive steel. It took over five years. But he had to be released. When I saw that, I didn't want to at first. But the reviews made me want to at least try. For $11.99 I wouldn't kick myself too hard if it was a bad product. But it's not a bad product. I use my steel regularly. If this product lasts just a few years, I'll be very satisfied. My last one cost over €45. In the long run, I'll be ahead. If you are a steel user you will be very satisfied with this product.
