There is a broken piece of plastic in the top corner of the drawer. This shouldn't affect his ability to do his job, it just spoils the appearance. Since it's in my living room, that's a problem. Due to the cost of the item, the Covid quarantine I am living in and my lack of transportation I have no intention of returning it. Only the color disappointed me. No matter how much I bought from Revain, I've only had 2 other items that were broken when I received them. I'm not sure what is meant by thickness unless it refers to the number of pages that can be shredded at one time. If so then 6 pages isn't that much but in this case you get what you pay for. I wanted one that micro shredded so I compromised on the thickness and how long it can grind before it gets hot. Time will tell if that is a wise decision.
