These are great if you need to carry a cable when traveling. They are wound very little and transmit the signal well without any degradation. I don't know how they perform in high EMI environments, but for typical office scenarios they should be fine. I also think they are good for connecting from a hub to devices where you want to tuck the cord between the baseboard and the carpet. Flat cables can also work, but this cable's sleek, round style makes for the least fuss. They can be used very well as patch cords and in structured cabinets with limited space.
