Review on Cloverdale 33437 Band It Edge Trimmer by Thomas Landis

I have two trimmers, this one and a quad trimmer with carbide blades. This trimmer has one distinct advantage over the quad trimmer - the quad trimmer will get stuck if you try to cut a strip that is too wide. My wife and I worked with 1/2" birch plywood and all I had on hand was 7/8" tubing. We ended up with about 1/8 inch excess tape on one end and about 1/4 inch on the other. Both trimmers performed well on the 1/8" side, but this trimmer performed better on the 1/4" side (after a few inches, the twist blade got stuck in the quad trimmer). Unlike others, we haven't encountered any dull blade issues yet. We've edged over 100 feet and can't tell a difference since we first opened the device up. That's not bad for a trimmer that costs under $20.
